Building a Clear Size Specification for Your Supplier

Define measuring points, sample size and fit comments to keep development conversations consistent.

01

Choose a reference size

Identify the development size and explain how the garment should fit your intended customer. Provide a reference garment or measurement chart where possible.

02

Define each measuring point

Include diagrams or clear descriptions for waist, hip, rise, inseam and leg opening. Agree the measuring method and acceptable tolerances with your supplier.

03

Review grading deliberately

Confirm how measurements change across sizes rather than assuming a standard chart. Review the appropriate samples before approving the final size set.
