Choosing Fabric for Your Women’s Trouser Collection
Consider composition, weight, drape and stretch together when developing everyday trousers or utility styles.
Back to resource hub01
Define the intended feel
Describe whether you want a structured, fluid, crisp or soft garment. Share a fabric swatch when possible. Composition alone cannot tell you how the finished trousers will feel: weave, weight and finishing also affect the result.
02
Compare physical samples
Review drape, opacity, stretch and recovery in representative colors. For light colors, check the fabric in the intended garment construction. Ask for actual composition and care information for the proposed material.
03
Approve before bulk
Record the approved fabric reference and color standard in your specification. Agree any testing requirements with your supplier and review the garment sample before authorizing production.
